Among the directors of JVD International you find off road races passionate and champions, Formula One pilots, title holders of desert races, terrific off road bikers, communication and PR experts, all motivated by their common fondness for races within the African continent.

They are backed by the numerous enthusiastic staff which is working toward the realization of this great and marvelous adventure.

Basic is the role of experts accompanying the recognitions, the one in charge of cartography and GPS points, the one composing road books.

The medical staff does a huge first aid and assistance work along the race: surgeons, reanimation experts, nurses, physiotherapists travel in the desert over 3 helicopters, 1 mobile hospital, 1 ambulance, 7 jeeps strategically placed along the route.

We then find the staff in charge to deliver petrol and gasoline to the race, refueling for helicopters and we must not neglect the check points officers who position themselves among the dunes trying to guess a shadowy spot for their long hours in the sun even where there is not one single bush in sight for kilometers.

Logistic experts take care of support vehicles in the desert following their movements and their maintenance, as well as checking all services to be operative as per schedule.

Organizing secretariat takes care of participants registration, info and road book delivery, web site update, all bureaucracy linked to lists, permits, multilingual translations, arranges hospitality and air tickets issue all over Europe: they virtually don't stop working all year round.

Press office issues info to be released, they rush among publishers, keep in touch with magazines and organize the needed equipments for credited journalists. Photographers and cameramen hazardously climb over canyon's peaks or over the helicopters slides in order to take home the foreseen film and reportage.

Last but not least the ones in charge of the many additional services, relief showers to lift the sand piled up while moving in the desert, the ones transporting provisions, boutique responsible and yet the many friends, volunteers and passionate who make efficient this massive organizing machine.

All in all around hundred motivated and skillful people.
