The success of the Rallye des Pharaons has pushed JVD to realize the RAID DES
PHARAONS, equally charming but not agonistic, in order to let the passionate
live one week of desert together with the most famous champions of this
specialty.
A "strong" experience accompanied by the assistance of a great organization.The
Raid is the emotion to run on ancient tracks with our scouts, challenge
yourself with driving on sand, learn to cope with the dunes, understand
different terrains and manage energy, fears and stress.
Small groups are structured according to participants' type of vehicle and
skills.
Rally and Raid offer participants an equal insurance and medical coverage. The
Raid is sport, holyday, meet new friends, project new adventures. It is
definitely passionate but it asks for a lot of care.
IMPORTANT:Before registering for the Raid read carefully the Raid Regulation,
which fixes rules that all must strictly apply.
RAID JVD: the formulas
FAST RAID
For the most experts, for who knows the desert, for who has an adequate and
equipped car and feels able to assess himself with his own strength.
HOW DOES IT WORK: the car must have 500 km of autonomy (with fuel
jerry cane or with a more capable petrol tank), 5 liters water supply per
person, the anti-sand plates, towing rope, trip master and GPS, signal rockets,
satellite phone and balise.
The FAST RAID participants will receive a time card in the morning like the
pilots do, departing time will be noted, they will have to stamp it at the
passage controls and deliver it at the arrival control. The FAST RAID route
will anyway be pointed out by JVD raid responsible and participants will have
to follow their instructions.
TRAVEL RAID
For all. Divided in groups of 10 - 12 vehicles according to participants
ability with the aim to help each other and live together a unique
experience.
Also participants to the TRAVEL RAID will receive a time card and will have to
stamp it at the passage controls and to deliver it at the arrival control. The
route of the TRAVEL RAID groups will be chosen according to ability of the
group by the JVD raid responsible and participants will have to follow their
instructions.
TITLE RAID
Specific raid projects, organized according to a sponsor or a company needs
which wish to have an exclusive project.
The TITLE RAID are structured according to features requested by the Sponsor
such as routes, complexity, services, staff and support vehicles.
The TITLE RAID are object of estimated budget according to requested services.
